Membership Benefits

The benefits outlined below and more are currently enjoyed by AAC&U member institutions:

AAC&U Representatives

AAC&U member institutions designate AAC&U Representatives who serve as direct liaisons to AAC&U throughout the year.

AAC&U Representatives receive subscriptions at no additional cost to all AAC&U print and electronic periodicals – Liberal Education, Peer Review, Diversity & Democracy, On Campus with Women, and AAC&U News.

AAC&U Representatives also receive other value-added benefits that include invitations to apply for grant-funded projects and calls for proposals for institutes and meetings.

Reduced Meeting Registration Rates

AAC&U Annual Meeting 2007

Administrators, faculty, staff, and students alike can take advantage of member rates when registering for AAC&U’s Annual Meeting or Network for Academic Renewal Meetings throughout the year.

AAC&U members accepted to participate in the AAC&U Greater Expectations Institute or the AAC&U Institute on General Education qualify for substantially lower team registration rates as well. To see upcoming AAC&U events follow this link.

Publication Discounts

AAC&U Periodicals

Everyone within your institution can take advantage of member discounts on all AAC&U publications.

AAC&U members can copy and distribute articles and excerpts from select AAC&U publications at no additional charge for faculty development and other internal campus activities (see AAC&U Permission Policies).

AAC&U’s Associates Program

AAC&U’s Associates Program allows other individuals within your institution to receive the same value-added benefits as AAC&U Representatives.  The annual enrollment fee ($60) is deliberately modest to encourage participation.

This opportunity builds campus networks and strategically places liaisons to share AAC&U resources and opportunities across campus offices, departments and disciplines.

Campus Visibility

AAC&U News 2007

AAC&U’s meetings and institutes provide numerous opportunities to share your institution’s best practices, innovations, accomplishments, and challenges with the higher education community at large.

AAC&U members gain valuable exposure for their signature educational programs through AAC&U’s print and online publications and on AAC&U’s award-winning Web site. AAC&U members can post institutional announcements, resources, and position openings to AAC&U News Postings, in our online member newsletter available to the entire educational community.

Collaborations with AAC&U and Other Campuses

AAC&U members can partner with other campuses in AAC&U's national initiatives focused on making the aims of liberal education a vigorous and constant influence on institutional purpose and educational practice in higher education.
