The Consortium on Quality Education
The Consortium on Quality Education was a project within
the Greater Expectations Initiative to discover campus strategies
to improve higher education. The twenty-two institutions selected
to be in the Consortium each employ innovative and comprehensive
practices to help all students toward greater achievement.
They represent the range of institutional types, missions,
and geographic locations.
The Consortium included sixteen competitively selected campuses,
designated as Leadership Institutions, plus six others, chosen
by the Pew Charitable Trusts for their Leadership Award for
the Renewal of Undergraduate Education. In addition, eleven
institutions were recognized with a Special Commendation for
Distinguished Achievement in Undergraduate Education.
